I made posts about this a couple of weeks ago. My biggest "Tales of" series want was the Repede plush that came in a special edition set when Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike first came out on Blu-ray May 2010. It retailed at a wonderful 9450 yen (and I think it was only sold on the site animate? I dunno, google translate only tells me so much lol.)

Actually kinda sad.. after a year of searching with Japanese words on Y!J, I couldnt even draw you one symbol from memory. Not one.

ANYWAY.

Shit is super hard to find. Every time it got listed, it was always really expensive. I didn't want the Blu-ray, and I had never seen the plush listed without the whole set. Over a year later, IT WAS.

Also really cool but just overshadowed by Repede, is this Raven plush. Because this post is so very Vesperia.

His origins are really confusing to me. Maybe FL can give me some ideas as to how/where this guy came from, even if you don;t know anything about Tales? From the limited info I can understand, this was either given out or sold at a doujinshi (did I spell that right?) .. event?? Or soemthing?

Let me repeat, I am totally Japan fandomy oblivious. My interest in Japan comes from my basic love of RPG games in general and how I've always loved their furniture/interior design style/traditional architecture. Yeah I think I am doing it wrong. Anyway, Im pretty positive its not official. But it's too high quality and nice looking for something thats unofficial or handmade? It really looks like something that's sold on a shelf in a store. It cant be a regular custom. Maybe it is. FUCK IT. Whatever it is. I've seen maybe 2-3 pop up on Y!J before I got mine so its not one of a kind.

Eithr way, too bad, I totally love it. The hair is super soft minky, and the face details are embroidered which is always nice. And his ponytail actually has a little tie lol. His jacket can come all the way off too... which would have been amusing to give him new goofy outfits except the shirt is directly sewed on in the front. Boo. Its in the same style as the official Vesperia plush, but about half the size!

I love reading. Its fabulous. But there's one problem

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO READ NEXT.

I guess I tend to gravitate to Fantasy the most.. (my favorite books are the ones in the A Song of Ice and Fire series) but Im pretty open to anything. Really, I like my A Tale of Two Cities and Pride and Prejudice just as much as my A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and Harry Potters. Other recent-ish series wise, I have read Robin Hobb's books and the Hunger Games series, and I think Im going to get Battle Royale to see what all the rage-parison is about. Rip off or not? WE SHALL SEE.

So yeah, go for it! Bonus points for stuff that is cheap for the Nook! Either way, I appreciate suggestions!!

Does anyone read the Walking Dead comics? Ive been watching the show with my bf, and being someone who loves to read, I want to read the comics!


But I am unsure of which route to go: paperback (goes from #1-#90) or hardcover collections (#1-#84), or buy the individual comics (#1-??????). I tried searching google a little bit but I am really afraid of running into spoilers :( Any suggestions ??
